"SUGOD LANG NG SUGOD..."

KK SAINTZ
about
Ken Kristoffer Santos (stage-name: KK Saintz) is a Filipino singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and audio engineer based in Pasig City. He is a founding member and the primary songwriter of the OPM rock band Kalye Teresa. His production and engineering work for other artists has amassed over 500,000 streams.

As a cross-cultural and multimedia artist, his music opens Submit to Sound, the official film of Scotland’s national representation at the 61st Venice Biennale - a collaboration with Bugarin+Castle supported by the British Council. His work witih Kalye Teresa has also appeared at other prestigious galleries such as Tate Modern, ICA London, and Fruitmarket.

His authorship bridges the narrative of internal shifts, and the moments between states that are often liminal and discrete. He combines the disciplines of sound design, genre-study, conceptual frameworks, and a taste for commercial and experimental songwriting sensibilities to create musically and thematically challenging works while still retaining wide-appeal.

my work
I've spent the last 18 years dedicated to learning the hidden depths and markers of what make songs work: how to write, produce, perform, and help others do the same.

Alongside music, I’ve worked inside organizations. I trained corporate teams, shaped brand identities, and managed events. Those systems have given me a lens into the world, and I infuse those details into my sounds as much as any studio ever would.

Beyond music, I organize learning environments, curate gatherings, and help artists & companies discover and ignite their own sound.
Songwriting & composition
Starting at 12 years old, I have written A LOT of songs. My compositional work centers on staging great melodies and strong motifs with a blend of emotional storytelling, visceral imagery, and bold authorial vision.
Production & engineering
Highly trained in the fundamentals of sound & audio, psychoacoustics, and conceptual frameworks, I am able to take a good song into a great record that translates tangible and consistent emotion, musical clarity, and story-arc in any listening environment.
Performance
As a professionally trained singer, the front-man of Kalye Teresa, and a session multi-instrumentalist, I have an established experience in multi-genre extensive showband work and performance using band-ready instruments in live or studio settings.
featured works

Submit to Sound (2026) features the distinct Filipino identity of Kalye Teresa.
"Shame Parade", Scotland's National Pavilion for the 61st La Biennale de Venezia, opens with Kalye Teresa's music and presence as Filipino musical & cultural voices as featured collaborators in Submit to Sound, a moving image work / film, appearing as ourselves as living subjects (with singer/drummer Elma Delos Reyes) and opening the film's sonic and visual arc.

Inspired by charivari, or the medieval practice of ritualistic public shaming toward those with perceived social and identity transgressions, Kalye Teresa curates their own modern yet familiar blend of kundiman, Filipino world music, and percussive and melodic folk storytelling that is prominent in the Tagalog scene.

Kalye Teresa helps architect the cultural and social narrative for Scotland and their long-time collaborators, artworld powerhouses Bugarin + Castle, creating two powerful Tagalog tracks that embody and carry parallel historical and societal implications through sound and shared lived-experience: Taksil, and Hudibrap. They also ground the artwork with musical scoring that narrates the eerie, understated subtexts of the film. This collaboration is supported by the British Council, curated by Mount Stuart Trust and commissioned by Scotland + Venice..

KK and EJ are set to appear during the pavilion's preview and premiere in Venice, Italy. The La Biennale de Venezia runs from May 9 to November 22, 2026. Tickets are available through the Venice Biennale official website.
Noodleburger
Outdated (2023)
A selection of songs from Noodleburger's sophomore album, Outdated, a touching and magnetic album that laments and celebrates those left-behind, and the peers, stories, and concepts that outgrew them. It is nostalgia and yearning at its core, grounded in 90s rock grit, grunge, and pinoy rock legacies.
